SupremeCenter6 downtime

The emergency sitiation that occured with the SupremeCenter36 server has been solved successfully with no data loss at all. Yesterday the RAID configuration failed and collapsed, causing the loss of two of the installed hard drives. Immediate recovery procedure commenced. Damaged hardware was removed and replaced with brand new one. The whole data has been successfully extracted from the backup. We tried to fix everything as soon as possible. However, there was a total downtime of 9 hours. Therefore, we would like to apologize to you for the inconvenience that this extreme situation has caused. Thank you for your understanding!

SupremeCenter35 maintanance

We would like to announce that we have scheduled hardware maintenance on supremecenter35.com. In the next 2 days, the three hard drives on server 35 will be replaced with new ones. This will lead to 3 instances of temporary service interruption of 30-40 minutes.

The hard drive replacement procedure will be the following:
1. The server will be shut down.
2. One of the 3 hard drives will be removed.
3. A new replacement hard drive will be installed.
4. The server will be rebooted
5. The server RAID will be rebuilt.

The procedure will be repeated 3 times until all of the hard drives on the server have been replaced with new ones.

The purpose of this scheduled maintenance procedure is to avoid any possibility for repeating of the RAID issues that happened with server 36 since it appears that the hard drives installed on servers 35 and 36 are not fully compatible with the chipset used on these server, which has lead to the RAID issues on server 36.

SupremeCenter38 Downtime

Regretfully we have to inform you that the server has lost 2 of its total 3 RAID5 hard drives and the RAID5 structure requires at least 2 hard drives to operate.

This requires to do a full re-intallation on the server and to restore the data from the back-up.

The last back-up was made 6 hours before the hardware failure and the restoration procedure will take from 3 to 5 hours. We are doing our best to make sure that this process runs as smoothly and fast as possible.

Regarding Possible Website\E-mail Connectivity Problems

We have received a number of reports from customers that were unable to access their websites or e-mail accounts on our servers. Unfortunately, the problem is due to issues that are outside of our network and control. The source of the problem appears to be due to connectivity issues within the networks of the following Internet service providers:

Verizon
Sympatico
Optimal Online
Road Runner

However, the issue may affect other ISPs as well.
The problem has been reported to the data center that we use and they are taking measures to resolve it with the ISPs whose networks are affected by the problem. If you are experiencing such a problem, we strongly encourage you to contact your ISP as soon as possible and report the issue. Since you will not be the only one with this problem, hopefully they take the necessary measures to resolve the issue quickly. Alternatively, if possible, we would also recommend you to try another local ISP that does not have any connectivity problems.
